Great venue.
1. The acoustics was good, not too loud, and very pronounced. Could hear all frequencies very well.
2. What's the point in doing this concert in a seating arrangements hall if people are going to stand? That just makes no sense, and we all had to stand in a awkward position in between the rows of seats for 2+ hours of the concert.
3. I was looking forward to a seating arrangement, but some bozos in the front rows stood up, so that forced the rest of the rows to stand up too.
4. The warm-up band was cheesy. Not sure what was the merit of inviting it to open for the Gustavo Dudamel, I take it that it was because they are a woman-let band.
5. But quality-wise, their sound and and performance, as well as music and lyrics were, for a lack of a better word, lame.
6. I sat in the 15th row from the stage.

best friend and I blown away
Ian, the nicest, coolest, BEST showman EVER, walked straight to me after the last song and handed me a drumstick. Met them, The pit seats 1 and 2, right in front of Gustavo Dudamel and blown away! The drummer was all over the drums and he and I made a connection only drummers can do. The pit seats 1 and 2, right in front of Gustavo Dudamel and blown away! I LOVED the feedback he got back. Ian leaned down (I'm in a wheelchair, he held out his fist and I held it tight for about 25 seconds and we took our mutual respect grip all the way down to the stage, we let go at the same time and he jumped up and was Ian, the nicest, coolest, BEST showman EVER, Billie went off. He was so nice and kind. Staff was so kind, the best. Ian rolled a tambourine to my friend that rolled about 30 MPH 8 inches in front of my face and my friend snatched it out of the air like an all star show. I really appreciated a member of their stage crew, a big ole boy wearing bibs took a pic for me of the pedals for me after I mentioned to him "the perfect pedal order" out of reference to a Vai youtube video I'd watched Sunday about his ideas on the subject. He walked straight to me after the last song and handed me a drumstick, Ian rolled a tambourine to my friend that rolled about 30 MPH 8 inches in front of my face and my friend snatched it out of the air like an all star show. Later Ian looked at me and rolled one to me. If you missed the show sorry but if there is a next time you have ZERO excuse to not see the most real, hardest rocking, deep bands to ever emerge from the UK. Thanks for everything Billy and Ian. Awesome Show!!!
In one night, two major headlining acts - how awesome is that?! The Gustavo Dudamel and Kiss were both awesome, playing a mix of old and new tunes. As usual, Tommy got the crowd pumped with his drum kit antics - I wish I could have a ride. Gustavo Dudamel was really loud, and it was great to see Mick looking better these days. Kiss was as good as ever, and I must say that Paul is looking great. The sound was perfect, with Paul hitting every note as if he were just starting out with young pipes. When he came out to the audience, we were so close that I could see his sculpted arm muscle and cute little butt cheeks as he 'shook it' for the crowd! It was nice to see Gene wearing his wedding band. The only disappointment for this Las Vegas show at Mandalay Bay Event Center was the lame crowd. I thought it was just me, but both Tommy and Paul tried to stoke the crowd. In the end, the bands put on an awesome show, and now I know for sure that Cleveland really does ROCK. We are loud and proud!
Unbelievable!
A religious experience, wow! We felt the love and for a short time felt a personal connection with Gustavo and his family. Having his family join him and seeing the joyous love they share for each other and the music is heartwarming, healing. His vocal gift is beyond understanding, that in itself is a privilege to experience. The third Gustavo Dudamel concert we've seen and by far the best. It was great to learn more about the ABF and the good work they are doing to help others throughout the world. Great to include the community, we love that local musicians and choirs are being able to participate. Auctioning the guitar is a great way to connect the fans with the cause. We look forward to our next Gustavo Dudamel concert and hope the family continues to perform. Bravo!
